Streamlining your optics and photonics research
Aspects of optical experiments, from equipment integration to calibration to Pound-Drever-Hall locking, can be tedious and time-consuming. Moku can help you get your experiments up and running faster, adapt to your specific needs, and save you that time for the work you'd rather be doing.
A test platform that adapts to your needs.
FPGA-based Moku devices integrate a full suite of 14 software-defined instruments, giving you a tool for every situation. Alongside tools crucial for optics and photonics, like the Laser Lock Box, Phasemeter, and Lock-in Amplifier, and Time & Frequency Analyzer are common test essentials such as an Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, and Waveform Generator. Run multiple instruments side-by-side in Multi-instrument Mode, or deploy your own custom algorithms with Moku Cloud Compile.
Seamless lock-in detection
Utilize the 4-channel, 600 MHz Lock-in Amplifier for multiple frequencies or harmonics, and output the demodulated signal to use in a feedback loop or PLL. Achieve ultra-low noise performance with 10-bit and 18-bit blended ADCs.
Painless laser locking
Easily lock lasers to a cavity using the PDH method with the Laser Lock Box, which combines the functionality of a Lock-in Amplifier and PID controller. With Lock Assist, you can instantly lock to any zero-crossing on the demodulated error signal with a single click.
Lossless event counting
Whether you're performing photon counting or free-space optical communications, utilize the 4-channel Time & Frequency Analyzer to detect photon events, generate time interval statistics, and output histogram data - all with zero dead time.
Faster optical PLLs
The Moku Phasemeter enables you to auto-lock onto an input frequency and visualize phase, frequency, and amplitude over multiple channels, all while recording with an embedded data logger. With the ability to output phase-locked signals, your optical PLLs just got a lot easier to implement. Watch the video to learn more.
